Orchids are some of my favorite flowers. They’re perfect. Perhaps for this reason, I used them in this abstraction. I wanted to show how throughout life we collect and accept ourselves piece by piece. Like all small and big events shape us. Mistakes and victories change us. Both are equally important. And how whole we feel at the end will depend on whether we accept all the pieces of ourselves. Do we take full responsibility for our lives? For every choice we make? Or do we reject shifting responsibility to others? By not acknowledging something unpleasant in ourselves, we deprive ourselves of the opportunity to change it.  Such philosophical thoughts prompted me to paint this picture.
